"
Southern Cross Gold recognises environmental sustainability and respect for cultural and heritage issues as essential requirements for all activities"
SXG commits to protecting the environment as well as the health and safety of its directors, officers, employees and consultants and the communities in which Southern Cross Gold conducts its activities. Management will ensure that environmental, health and safety programs and performance standards are an integral part of our planning and decision-making. Southern Cross Gold's directors, officers, employees and consultants are responsible and accountable for compliance and have an obligation to bring issues forward to management for resolution.
While modern mineral exploration activities already lend themselves to minimising environmental impact, SXG is committed to environmental stewardship including conservation of biodiversity, efficient use of resources, pollution prevention and minimisation of environmental impact.
To minimise our impact, disturbance is reduced wherever possible by maximising the space we have and by using existing infrastructure whenever possible.
