At the recent Career Quick Meets event, Southern Cross Gold’s geologist Angus and cartographer/acoustic engineer Terry Clark met with Wallan Secondary College’s Year 9 students to explore potential careers in the resources sector. The event brought together 22 businesses and education providers, offering students a unique opportunity to learn about various industries and career paths through speed dating-style conversations with real employers and industry experts. It was an excellent platform to introduce students to the wide range of roles available in exploration, mining, and beyond, highlighting opportunities suited to all skill sets.
