The team picked up waste from Hibberds Lane and Clonbinane Road, including cans that were taken to the Kilmore recycling facility and turned into a donation to the Kilmore SES.
It wasn’t only rubbish that was collected though! Geologist Claudia found and wrote in a geocache, a container that’s part of a global treasure hunt that’s discovered using map coordinates and a GPS enabled device.
We don’t just keep our community free of rubbish one day a year. We maintain our project’s site and its surrounds as well as reduce our waste and recycle as much as possible to ensure our environment’s health all year round.
